We have 4 children, Kelsi who is 5, Kyler who is 4, Keaton who is 2 and our newest addition Kolton! We are so blessed! It was such a sad day. As soon as we got the call we were over to grandma's house in a heartbeat. The funeral was a week later. It was so nice. My dad spoke, my uncle Justin spoke, my mom read the eulogy, the grandkids all sang I Am a Child of God and there were a few other special musical numbers. My grandpa was a bishop in his younger years and also a guidance counselor at Rancho HS. He was loved by so many. His funeral was a testament to what a wonderful man he was. It was so huge, seriously looked like a stake conference.
I gave Kelsi for Christmas tickets to Disney on Ice. So we had a girls night out with my mom, sister, aunt and cousin. We went to dinner before and ice cream after. It was a fun night!!
February- My sister got married!! It was such a beautiful day! Being at the temple with all my siblings was so wonderful. The reception was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! It was such a fun night! MacKenzie looked so beautiful and we sure love Preston! He is such a great addition to our family and a great uncle!
We actually celebrated Valentines day this year! Since the actual day fell on a night Jason had to work we went a day or two before. Sushi and a movie! It was so fun!
March- Easter was a nice day. Jason had to work, but we spent the morning together and also went to church before he had to leave. That night we went to my grandma's house for dinner and egg hunt.
April- We went to the Logandale Fair again this year. Instead of our annual camping trip we opted for just a day at the fair. We drove up and walked around to the different exhibits. The kids rode a few rides and visited all the animals. The weather was pretty windy, but otherwise ok. The weather is ALWAYS bad for that poor fair! My sister came out for the day as well. She helps with the kids so I love having her around!
My husband got his wish and we got chickens. UGH. HAHA..I've fought him on this forever. But he is in heaven! We make the kids collect eggs and feed them each morning. I still refuse to hold one! Animals just aren't my thing! We started out with 11, but after an accident we now have 10. 1 Rooster and 9 Hens.
May- We got to go up to the cabin for a few days with my parents, grandma and sister and Preston and Jordan came up. It was so nice and relaxing. The weather was amazing. We went down to Cedar for one of the days. We went shopping and out to eat.
Keaton turned 3! We had a small party at home. He got a robot cup he's been eyeing at Target, he got his own cake, which he thought that was pretty cool! We love Keaton! He's dad's favorite helper! He's a very hard worker and so loving!
June- Jason and I discovered a few Farmer's Markets here in town. We got some delicious cherries, strawberries and looked at all the other amazing produce. The next day he was inspired and we canned our own pickles! He was over the moon!
The two older kids can offically swim! It has been so fun!
July- 4th of July, Jason had to work. The kids and I spent the night at my parents house and swam, had a BBQ and then went to my uncle's house for the annual homemade ice cream and firework show! Always a fun time with family!
We got to go to the cabin one last time for the summer. The kids and I loaded up the truck and followed my parents up! Ive never driven to Utah by my self before. I was pretty nervous. Especially since I was driving not only Jason's truck, but it was also loaded up with my 4 wheeler he bought me. Jason was on a small fishing trip with his friend in Ely. And he met up with us at the cabin a few days later. This time at the cabin we went over to Bryce Canyon and hiked the canyons and picnicked. It was so nice up there. Kelsi also turned 6 at the cabin. We made her favorite spaghetti and I even made her favorite ice cream. Homemade mint chip! Kelsi is so smart and beautiful! She is such a blessing in our lives! She is mommy's big helper and such a good big sister! She loves to read (my child) and LOVES math(Jason's child).
Kolton turned 1! We swam and had a BBQ at my mom's house. It was pretty humid out. But we still had a great time! Kolton is such a sweet boy! He loves to give kisses and is such a koala bear when he gives his hugs. He is just like Kyler was, prefers mom over everyone, and follows me around the house. But he does love his daddy. Jason is known on his days off or on the rare occasion he's home for nap time,to rock Kolton to sleep!
August- Kyler turned 5! We spent a family day together and opened gifts when he woke up the house to announce it was his birthday! Later that night we went to my moms house for an Ironman cake and ice cream. Kyler is such a sweet smart boy. He is very loving and loves to play. He still has his platnium blond hair!
Kelsi lost her first tooth! A very exciting day in our house! Everyone was excited! Her tooth fairy brought her $1. And for all you parents out there who are letting your tooth fairy give your child a $20! Seriously, you are what is wrong with America today! #justsayin
Our chickens finally started producing eggs! They're brown and cage free.
September-My dad had a birthday luau swim party! It was so fun. Jason was in San Diego this weekend with group of friends for a deep sea fishing trip. He brought home 12 HUGE fish. Tuna and yellowtail.
The day he was driving home was also the first day of school. Kyler started Kindergarten and Kelsi 1st grade!
October- This is our birthday month! For my bday Jason took me to The Melting Pot. It was so fun and surprisingly romantic! For Jason's birthday we double dated with a friend of his from work Dion and his wife. We went to sushi!
Jason had to work on Halloween this year. So this year we went to the kids school for the carnival. Everyone loved our Wizard of Oz theme! Kelsi-Dorothy ofcourse Kyler- tinman Keaton-scarecrow and Kolton-my lion! After the carnival we went to my uncle's house for dinner and trick or treating. Then over to my brother Nick's house for a haunted house.
November- We went to the kids party again at Opportunity Village for Jason's work. It was seriously my favorite year. It was not cold AT ALL. And there were 0 lines. We seriously walked onto everything. So this made for happy kids!
We did Thanksgiving on a Tuesday night this year. It was such a fun night! Delicious food and fun time! On actual Thanksgiving, we watched the parade on tv. Then that afternoon we went to see Frozen with my parents.
We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary! We went to Makino (won't go back) and came home and watched a dvd.
One of the days I was waiting outside the kids school, I was listening to the radio. I totally won tickets to the Selena Gomez concert! HAHAHAH So random! I took my sister to the concert. It as a cute little show!
December- We went to the annual Desert Chorale Christmas concert at Ham Hall. I made my annual walk down to the student union starbucks for a hot chocolate and doughnut with an uncooperative baby haha. And then Keaton got brought out to me too. After it was over we went with Kenzie and Preston to Bellagio to see the fountains with Christmas music! Kids love it!
One of our clients and Jason really get a long. They are like brothers. So much a like and have really formed into a great bond. He has been a real blessing to us and has really helped keep our business sustained this year and last. He took our whole family to dinner to the Geisha House. It was so fun and delicious!!! The kids loved to watch the food be grilled right before their eyes on the habachi grill.
Christmas was a busy week. I made tons of goodies for friends, teachers and Jason's hometeaching families. Monday before Christmas we went to my uncles for dinner and white elephant gift exchange. It was so fun and we all went home happy. The next night on Christmas Eve we went to my parents for PJ party and chinese food. Christmas we got up opened presents and then went back over to my parents for breakfast and more gifts.
The sunday before New Years Jason was at work. He texted me and said his stomach was upset. An hour later he texted me and said he threw up. Just after that message, Kyler and Keaton threw up. Every hour for about 5 hours. Jason tried to leave work but they didn't have anyone to cover him. Needless to say, his mom and brother had to go pick him up at 10 and take him to the ER because he was so dehydrated. By that time it hit me and I also got sick. Those two days were a blur. What a way to end the year huh? My mom came over monday night and brought us some soup, cleaned our house and took Kelsi home. Mom got sick a few days later. Then my grandma,now my dad! Man I feel so bad!
Well 2013 was a wonderful year. So many fun memories and love shared! I'm thankful for my family and all we have! Let's pray 2014 is just as great!!Elise Carrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11975250752053906721noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3382321237526949985.post-56292628492421721192014-01-04T00:23:00.000-08:002014-01-04T00:23:10.440-08:002014 Book of MormonFirst of all I can not believe it has been a full year since I have posted. Crazy how life zooms on.
Well I will try to do an update tomorrow, but I wanted to post on this first.
The other night I saw on Instagram that someone made a page dedicated to reading the Book of Mormon once a day for the year. I thought that was so awesome! My kids are getting older and Kelsi can read whole verses by herself. So I really felt inspired to take this on.
Wednesday night after a late night dinner, I was finishing up the dishes. Jason, Kelsi and Kyler were all hanging out in our bedroom, talking and goofing around. I got an overwhelming feeling to go grab our scriptures. I grabbed the 3 single copies on our bookshelf and ambushed the family.
I explained to them how I think we need to start reading as a family. I got a few wide eyed expressions, but handed out the scriptures anyway. We each took turns reading a few verse. It wasn't perfect. The boys were bored, the baby wouldn't sit still. But it was awesome. We read 3 chapters together. As a family.
The next night Jason was back to work so we read another chapter and texted him what we read. He read on his lunch break. And then tonight the same. I have noticed a difference in our home. A softer side of my husband and an enhanced love in our home.
I'm so thankful for the scriptures and my family. I truly hope we can keep this up. And I know we will try hard because Kelsi loves to keep us on track! Elise Carrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11975250752053906721noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3382321237526949985.post-34885420200075143322012-12-13T21:15:00.001-08:002012-12-13T21:15:33.771-08:00NovemberJust wanted to blog a little about last month. We went to the annual children's party at Opportunity Village, hosted by Jason's work. It was such a wonderful night! Jason walked right in the door minutes before we had to leave. So he took us to Macaroni Grill for dinner. We counted it as an Anniversary dinner. 6 years married! After dinner we had I hurry over to the Magical Forest. I got right in line for the train. Jason took the older kids on the jumbo slide. After the slide and train ride we went to get the kids gift bags. And after that we walked right onto the carousel. The last ride of the night!

Thanksgiving. Such a weird year. Jason had to work. So the kids and myself joined my mom, dad and grandparents. Jarred and Melissa, Jordan and Christy and MacKenzie and Preston all came later for dessert.

I thought I would try out Black Friday.. But ended up not going. But just as good.. My parents went and ended up picking up a few items for me! Worked out in the end!

<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBw_btQf1Wkjrcfi79M0Bn4dBuZgkYKqWh3oLEtgsvKzuGvX4b0Spbu1Z1cXulOULDRu1IY9X2GtpZce2v6yAWC8fhUitTbzYs1Gz5jXSzCQ5vrwL0uvy0uhtEUhrXMuq11IXQax8jETM/s640/blogger-image-684737510.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; Life sure does get in the way! Lets see, October I celebrated another birthday. 28. So.close.to.30! Unreal! I can't believe how fast it goes! Seriously! I can shut my eyes and remember just trying to get through high school. Or my wedding. Or the birth of my children. Time is flying.

We had a family bowling night for all the October birthdays. It was super fun! Jason and I went to Texas de Brazil to celebrate just the two of us. It was delicious!

I haven't been babysitting, but I honestly don't miss it. Plus we have been super swamped at Desert Drop Box! Jason had to force himself to take a day off and recoup. It's been so nice to have a decent cash flow! We've surely missed that!

Kolton is now 3 months old. He is my bundle if joy for sure! I'm trying my hardest to savor every single baby moment with him. I'm 90% sure he's our last, so I'm trying to enjoy him. He's a good little baby! I've forced him on the pacifier and he is in heaven as long as he's burrito'd up! :)

The rest of the family is growing as well. Kelsi is loving kindergarten and I'm trying my hardest to get her to know all her sight words by Christmas break. She also goes to gymnastics once a week. And she loves it! Kyler is in preschool 3 days a week. And loves it. He also has made a friend at church and we had little Seth over to play today. They bonded instantly taking about transformers and riding gokarts!

Keaton is my little terror right now. He's moody and into EVERYTHING! I dread the grocery store and try my hardest to plan any outing around whether Jason will be home or not. On a positive note, he is talking so much! I love his little voice and the way he is learning to pronounce his words!

Our family needs a vacation! Something not too expensive and really kid friendly. That or I can wait til the middle of next year and Jason and I are going to Disneyland ALONE!! For sure!

I'm busy with my church calling and driving these monkeys everywhere! And trying to keep my sanity!
I'm also the maid (matron) of honor for my sister's wedding.. So I've been busy with that. We went up to UT last week and found a bridesmaid dress that we think will work for us all! I'm excited! Just need to get thorough the holidays first! I'm so excited! I'm about half way done Christmas shopping! Thank heavens for amazon.com and my iPhone! :) Elise Carrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11975250752053906721noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3382321237526949985.post-36402108395265340372012-09-05T22:47:00.001-07:002012-09-05T22:52:14.216-07:00Quick Trip

Yesterday, Kolton and I drove up with my mom and Kenzie to take her back to school. She had been in town for the long weekend. She had a class that she needed to be back for, so I decided she needed to go look for wedding dresses since we were taking her back! I called last week and got her an apt with two different shops. Literally everything she tried on looked amazing on her. She is so beautiful!

Mom and I went to lunch while Kenzie was in class. Then we went back to her apartment and waited until she got out of class. We chatted with her roommates for a while.

We went to two different shops and she found two dresses she absolutely loved. She ended up putting a deposit down on one! I'm so excited for her!

And my husband is amazing. He did the pick up drop off for school and even watched the two girls I babysit. Since we went to dinner at the Pizza Factory, as a thank you I bought him home his own favorite pizza from there!

He had a blast. He said they colored and ate snacks. He was also happy because there was other boys in his class. He gets mad because there are no boys in his class at church, so he is excited! He's such a handsome boy and is getting so tall! I just love my Kyler!
Charleston. We left he house around noon and got up to the mountains pretty quickly. It was so beautiful and nice and cool. We drove around for a while to try and find a secluded area to eat. Surprisingly, it was super packed with people everywhere we stopped. We found a spot and hiked down a little hill and set up our picnic. We ate and the kids ran and played for hours. They played hide and seek and soccer and picked up rocks and huge tree branches that had fallen. They got so dirty, but were in heaven.

After being there sitting on the hard ground for hours I was done. So we packed up and decided to drive around again. We started talking and I told Jason I had never been to Lee Canyon. So we drove up. It was open and they were offering ski lift rides. The kids were all free so that was cool. Jason rode with Keaton and Kyler. I had the baby in a little carrier on me, so he and Kelsi rode with me. I am not afraid of heights, but now I think I am. Even now when I think of it my feet totally tingle!!! It was unbelievable high up and no seat belts. And I felt like I needed to hang on to the side but also needed to hold on to Kelsi and the baby. But ya, not enough hands!

I was so happy to finally get back on the ground safely. It really was such a beautiful view, so I tried my hardest to at least take that in.

It was a perfect family day and we didn't get home until after 7 that evening. We were in bed way early! I love making memories! <div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Elise Carrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11975250752053906721noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3382321237526949985.post-39697711410565453742012-08-30T23:44:00.001-07:002012-09-01T21:17:32.598-07:00Back to SchoolThis week students around the valley headed back to school. And it was super exciting for the Carr family, because miss Kelsi started Kindergarten!!! She was so cute!! The whole family woke up to drive her and then we all walked her to the playground and found her class. It was really neat because her school every morning has a morning assembly where they say the pledge and sing God Bless America. Jason and I thought that was so awesome!! And I guess that's where they will have morning announcements and stuff like that. After that we followed her class to the classroom. She walked right in and didn't even turn around to say goodbye! Haha! I'm not surprised though! She has always been our little independent lady.

She is enjoying taking her lunch, eating with her friends, having recess and loves PE! She told me they did yoga in PE this week! Um what? Haha! That's cool! She already has homework and loves her teacher. She even has 3 friends from her primary class there.

With the return of school, comes the mile long supply list. I'm trying to be thankful I only have one kid with a list. Because I will have two next year! Anyway, I was a little stir crazy last night and decided to go to Target to see if they had anything left of school supplies. I fed the kids dinner and bathed them and had them in their pj's. We got there and it was pretty busy. I was able I get most of the stuff so I was happy. So after we had circled the store I was ready to go. And oh my gosh. Kyler had the BIGGEST, LOUDEST, WORST temper tantrum EVER!!! He wanted a toy and didn't want one out of the $1 section and screamed and cried and even threw something, everytime I got him calmed down he just kept freaking out with bursts of anger. I just wanted to get out of there because ofcourse the whole store was staring and the teenage boy that was checking us out looked mortified. I just hurried us to the car and put him in his seat. As I was loading my bags in the trunk a lady and her teenage daughter stopped me. She said she wanted to tell me how much she respected me and how it was really commendable how I didn't overreact to how Kyler was acting. She said she has seen many parents go crazy. I have had many many people come up to me in stores and usually its a negative comment or unwanted advice. So it really made my night when someone actually gave me a pat on the back and a compliment. Just today some old guy walked past me with my 4 kids at Smith's and said i was "a brave little lady!" Maybe I am doing a few of these parenting things right. And thankfully my parents taught me how to be a good parent. Even though we've been through hell and back with a few incidents in my know-it-all teenage years and early
20's I'm glad they didn't give up on me ever! <div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Elise Carrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11975250752053906721noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3382321237526949985.post-83345490278097297542012-08-24T21:21:00.002-07:002012-09-01T22:40:59.022-07:00Baby Sister is Engaged!!Well, its official! I'm an old lady! My little baby sister is engaged folks!

She has been dating Preston since early April. Our whole family loves him to death! He is such a good man and such a sweetheart! My kids adore him and he is so patient with the older 3 and he never gets mad when they are climbing and jumping all over him! In fact we all joke that we've never seen him get mad!

MacKenzie and Preston went on a trip to Disneyland a few weeks ago. Preston had been calling, texting and emailing me in secret, sending me pictures of rings for weeks! He had planned to propose after the firework show on the first night they were there. Well I was up waiting for a phone call from my sis with the news, and after it almost being midnight I texted them and asked if he firework show was over. I guess poor Preston had lost his wallet on a ride and they missed the firework show because they were looking for it. I felt so bad for him. He just said he was going to do it the next night. But I guess he couldn't wait because about an hour later I got a call and sister was engaged!! He couldn't wait and got down on one knee in front of the castle! She said YES!!

We are all so excited and we're getting ready for the last wedding of us 5 kids! February of 2012!

And a little miracle happened! A few weeks later Preston came home to an envelope on his bed. A lady had found his wallet and mailed it back to him!! So awesome!!
Kolton was born July 24 via c-section at 1:34 pm. He weighed 8 lbs and was 20 inches long. This was planned so it was a completely different experience to go to the hospital knowing you're getting cut open and will have a baby all in a matter of hours.

Jason and I arrived at the hospital at 11 am. We got checked in and I changed my clothes and was hooked up to the IV. Which took two nurses and two different tries because of my lovely veins!! (Accompanied by my lovely bruise!) They took me back to the operating room a little after 1. The room was sooooo cold and soooo bright! The anesthesiologist put in my spinal block. And then Jason came in with the dr. I was so drugged up and exhausted from not much sleep the night before that I kept coming in and out of sleep. Jason said that the cord was wrapped around the baby's neck and he was so far up in my ribs they had to use a vacuum. Poor little guy. He had no hair and came out screaming! They sent Jason out with the baby and nurses so they could clean me up.

I was in recovery for about an hour an a half. I was so exhausted and itchy! Coming off the anesthesia is the worst. After we got to my room they brought the baby in.

He was a hungry little man! I started nursing him right away! My mom came to admire the new little man! She and I were both worried he was going to be a troublemaker because he cried anytime he wasn't hooked up to me. Haha! She stayed for a couple hours and Jason left to go eat. Then my grandma came and brought the other three! It was so neat to see them all together! :) Then my dad came up, my sister and her boyfriend and then my brother Nick and his wife. It was a very busy night. And I don't remeber a lot of it because i was on a lot of pain meds... but I did enjoy hearing all the awwwwws!

We stayed two nights and I was home Thursday evening. My mom kept the other kids that night (as well as the whole week before). It was nice being home in our own bed in the quiet. The next day my mom brought the kids back home and she stayed with us for another 5 nights. It was so nice having her there. My kids adore her and Jason was very happy too because she is a clean freak! :) We had tons and tons of visitors- family, friends and people from our ward.
We keep trying to decide if he is our last. Crazy right? He's now a month old and we're contemplating a 5th????? HAHA!! Jason did say in the hospital,"He makes me want another baby!" Umm ok..haha! :)

So that was the plan this year as well. Unfortunately, the mountains we always go to was having some brush fires and the mountain was evacuated. So sadly, we were unable to go out of town. But, fortunately for us, Jason and I got a lot of projects done around the house. We're talking 6 years of my patience people!

We put up all the baseboards in the house. We painted them in the kids room and moved all their furniture around and got rid of some toys.

I washed all the new baby clothes and blankets I want to use! And will probably set up the cradle tomorrow.

We also painted the hallway and living room! Oh my goodness! Totally different house! We're still getting used to the color and it's not exactly what we wanted, but who the heck cares! I'm so happy!

4th of July, my kids had a cousin/ grandma sleepover so we could finish up some projects... But we met up that night for a BBQ and swim and then over to my uncle's house for fireworks and homemade ice cream. It was a fun night!

Keaton has seemed to broken his leg!
:( The week before the 4th, my kids and the ones I babysit had just gotten home from dropping off an extension cord to Jason at a side job. They were in the kid room playing and I was changing out my never ending laundry loads. The next thing I know Keaton is crying and crawling on the floor. The kids ran out and said Kyler had pushed Keaton off the changing table. I guess they were taking turns jumping off the table onto the beds, which are on both sides. He wouldn't put any weight on it at all. And cried for 20 minutes. Jason came home and in an effort to save Kyler's life i handed Keaton to Jason to see if he could calm him down. And of course he did. He slept for a good 3 hours and woke up crying again and still wouldn't walk on it.

The next day my grandma had invited me and all the other grand daughters out for lunch. So my mom watched the kids. She was pretty freaked out about Keaton's foot, and I was hoping it was just a bad sprain.

So the next day I decides to take him to UMC quick care because of course it was a Sunday. They did x-rays and determined it was just sprained as well. I was exhausted and a little relieved.

Well a week later he was up walking on it but still had a limp. So I took him to our regular pediatrician Friday and she sent us for a second x-ray. They determined that he did have a small fracture and he needed to stay off it and I had to take him to the ER right then. So this has been a very expensive little injury! He has to wear this removable cast and stay off it for 2 weeks, and they want us to take him to an orthopedic specialist.

Kelsi turned 5 last week! It was the longest day ever! She got a call from her friend Sam to come play. They made her a cute cake and she had a fun time over there. Her dad had to take a dumpster across town to a customer so he picked her up on the way. Since I was babysitting I had those girls lay down to watch a movie and they fell asleep. So I got to have a real nice quiet afternoon! Jason got home about 6:30 and we took Kelsi up to pick out her birthday present. We got her a bike! She was so excited! Then we headed to dinner. She said she wanted to go to Costco and have hot dogs! Funny girl! She changed her mind and wanted Cane's so we picked that up and we ate at Cafe Rio. Then we took her bowling at Jason's work. The kids had a blast!

This will be my last week of babysitting for a while. I will sure miss the extra spending money! But I think a new baby in the house will make up for that! I'm super excited but Im starting to get nervous and scared about having another c-section! Oh well. Until next time! <div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Elise Carrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11975250752053906721noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3382321237526949985.post-45933865343010417512012-06-04T15:52:00.001-07:002012-06-04T15:52:41.542-07:00Life UpdateWow! I'm a slacker! Let's see if we can recap where I last left off...
December: Christmas was wonderful! We again stayed with my parents and had a relaxing Christmas with family, food and lots of fun! And we ofcourse went to Mt. Charleston on Christmas Eve for breakfast.
New addition! We found out that we are pregnant again! This will be baby Carr #4 due in July!

January: Jordan and Christy got married! They got sealed in St. George, UT. They had a beautiful sealing by Pres. Ence. I love him! He gave them great counsel and it was a beautiful ceramony! The next night was the reception/ring ceramony.

February-March: Nothing too exciting that I can remember!
April: We took our anual camping trip to Logandale. Nick and Candice came and stayed the night and we took a VERY VERY long trail ride with their baja and Jason's quad. Then we headed over to the fair for a couple hours. MacKenzie and her BF Preston Simper met up with us and we hung out for a while. Then we all headed back to the campground for dinner and smores! It was a fun time! They all left that night. We ended up staying another day and a night and decided to go home sooner than we planned because Jason hurt his back. Ya that was fun. I had to load and unload a lot of stuff by myself.
When we got home we got news that he had gotten the job he had applied for before we had left for our trip. So he was really excited.
We found out we're having another BOY! Kelsi cried for two days! Poor girl! She desperatly wants a sister! I took her for a milkshake and a trip to Bath and Body Works and let her pick out whatever she wanted. I told her us girls have to stick together in this house of motercycles, tractors and dirt! HAHA!
We celebrated Easter with dinner at my grandparent's.<a

May: Jason switched to his new job. Well same job different property. He is in love. He loves the people he works with and the newer property. And he loves actually having people repect him and appreciate the hard work he does. I on the other hand am not so in love. HAHA! His shift and days off have changed, so that has been a little hard to have to adjust. But as long as he is happy I'm happy.
Jason and I went to Supercross World Finals. It was a fun night without the kids. My mom took them for the night so it was nice to relax. We met up with some friends who ended up treating us to dinner!
I recently started babysitting a couple girls in my ward during the week. So far it has been a great thing for our family. It helps out a friend, keeps my kids entertained and brings in a little extra money to our home. I plan to do this as long as my body will let me!
June: So far its only the first week! But my brother Jarred marrid his sweetheart Melissa Musgrove on Saturday! It was a beautiful day and it was lots of fun!

My husband has a different relationship with his family than I do. His mother had him when she was only 16 years old and he never knew who his father was. Very sad if you ask me. Without going too much into detail, Jason's family has a lot of unreasolved drama. Including the fact that Jason's mother had held a grudge against her father since Jason was born. So he grew up without knowing his father or his grandfather. And out of respect for his family, I have chosen to not divulge the very little facts I know about the situation.

Fast forward to Nov. 2006. Jason and I were planning our wedding. We sent one of his aunts an invitation and somehow she got two. She sent one to Jason's grandpa.

Two years later I decided that I would ask Jason's aunt for Jason's grandfather's address. I figured he had never done anything to me or Jason, so I included a little note to him that said something like: if you'd like to call you're welcome to, and I gave him our phone number. And he did! So Jason and him have developed a relationship over the phone.
One day he got a call that his grandfather would be in California visiting his brother(Jason's Great-Uncle). I decided that California is WAY closer than Texas, where his grandpa is from. So I told Jason that I thought we should make a quick trip down and visit him. Well it didn't take much convincing on his part. So he called his grandpa and told him our plans. The next morning we got up early and drove all day to Newport Beach. I found a hotel directly across the street from the beach! It was so awesome! We pulled into town just before it got dark, so we took the kids on the beach for the first time! It was pretty cold, since it was in December mind you, but they still loved playing in the sand and water! Plus, there were girls walking around in booty shorts all over the place! So I figured the weather wasn't that big of a deal!
That night Jason took us over to Anehiem for dinner. We went to Angelo's Burgers. Jason had lived in Aneheim for a few years with his mother's ex husband when he was younger and had always gone to eat here. It was, EH...OK..Reminded me of a hamburger version of Robertos! Only the waitresses rolled around on skates to take and deliver our order.
The next morning we got up pretty early and had breakfast. We then checked out of our hotel and drove a few towns over to meet up with his family.
We drove to his uncle Larry's house. We sat around and visited for a while. And they showed us all their awesome fruit trees! Oh California I love you!! Anyway, after we caught up on the latest with the families, we decided to go to another of Jason's favorite's Me and Ed's Pizza for lunch. It was nice to eat with the family. We took some pics and let the kids play. We decided we had better get on the road since Jason had to be to work the next day.
We had a nice drive home and I'm glad we went. It was a nice experience for our little family! And I'm very happy I could get my husband some closure and meet family he had never known about!

It was really nice and low key. Unfortunately Jason had to work for the first time in 5 years but he got off at 3, so it wasn't a big deal.

I made a pumpkin toffee cheesecake, a delicious salad and the ham! All three were so so good! Since Jason had to work I did all this by myself. That morning I loaded the kids up and we went over to my grandmas house a few hours early. We helped set the table and finished preparing the rest of the food.

My parents, MacKenzie and Jarred finally arrived and my mom and I ran over to Redbox to get a couple of movies. We ate around 4, which is pretty late for us. After dinner Jordan and his fiance came over as well as Jarred's girlfriend. We played games and had dessert. The boys and their ladies all left and we hung out and watched a movie. It was a nice night! We had tons of left overs.

As always, I regret that I didn't take many pictures. I was so exhausted from the 3 days of preperations!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjznoVkOW6ZLXvC-CwNUvsu03PxcNGqJxTIRImcMTBy8BuSsr_hW8uHp3cPmpNXJJLZ-TozgA9TLG5KCz_EY9K1XIxCqlEQ9HmHoOqKLb5B-INCtOBxhRljpP5WYgxzd8TXwznFhh7FJPg/s200/table.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5687926917565771858" /> <img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdSYei8DkWVefIOb6hLPMl08zySyw6JRjMdc4ZdpBw207JFa-aagzMHEzBhqo8x5rQbngXq6uN13NBuO8xP2W9bg4WpSFjKopgG5HDO8Y7HdZTVo6bga0Uq9rlsA3X33Kf-H9iGuxdYPE/s200/salad.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5687926908453052386" /><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmremr-XcycwHpXdqavL3p2a6Tpd1C5lqvh__p0Fq2IZXEJNcOhU4cCPeG-c8HUaIMuGHfbcG8fc5fwxtA2QkMC3vo3kn_xMPZ53eXL4egGxpZcwNHDok_secgpymg8GlV60s-vv31hxc/s200/dessert.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5687926908835771458" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtT6liuuZKOWoj3Cy6CnwxzbRHETfeX9UdbiVMVcJqqq28r9TLwuTYSllBxadTRQfvtXUciZFq4TBD1sOGsKLdaPJj_826z_mUdVpaDh2T1bhG-CTs4zZ4Wk_w8Zaeb9DKdKLY8drtN8s/s200/kenzandpapa.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5687926904627570514" />Elise Carrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11975250752053906721noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3382321237526949985.post-38967235332232583692011-11-22T23:19:00.000-08:002011-11-22T23:49:33.534-08:00Magical ForestIt's that time of year again! Christmas is COMING! YAHOO! My absolute favorite time of year! I have almost all of my Christmas shopping done! I really just need to get my parent's gifts and Jason's stocking stuffers then I'm done! I'm thinking I will wait until this weekend to put up the Christmas stuff.

Last night we had a really fun family night! Jason's boss gave him a comp so we ate dinner at his work in the Mexican restaurant! Then we headed to the annual holiday party for the kids at Opportunity Village.

They look forward to it all year! We get in for free and get unlimited rides on the train and this year they had carnival rides. We always go straight for the train first because its usually a half our wait. It wasn't bad at all this year and was only about 15minutes. The kids love the train!
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguEkg1BBS-oCOG-ZzIdpYJoPX0TvJEa2zFeRCBoZtebYLU9v9a86uNze9FZa2DL3AhGe2eZR2H3SbVJpaQxkk0xdE1c6eq1rsBvjdFv6N563jQjVaMuAJxrfGkyp6lKryfaaGUwrKhUgU/s200/train2.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5678091262656153346" /> <img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8cY3x6XD3hs5F_nWLN7pmOWT5GNiAiQ_BaAMQ7yIZpgXCeDIiYK52QOV2rqJDzgRpkL7O_JUHC-ilUYFsEJAi14qbydjqjrpkKFBGhUrX1hBkzQx2nUVJk1maCi1YFWr_RdJsGr34UlM/s200/train.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5678091262660250866" />

Then we took them over to the firetruck and it was awesome because the firefighters let the kids climb literally ALL OVER the truck! We waited in line for this dragon ride for over an hour....ugh. I had to leave the line twice to take the kids to the bathroom. We finally got up to our turn and all 5 of us got to ride! It was really fun! Its one of those tea cup types where you can spin it to make it go faster. And ya, Jason had us whirling around as fast as it could go! The kids loved it! Little daredevils! HA!

Then we walked over to this two story fun house with a huge slide at the top. The baby and I sat that one out.

We made our way inside to get the kids toy sacks. These things are loaded every year. Kelsi's had a mini cash register drawer loaded with play money and coins. She was over the moon! It also had this little place mat that you could actually color and it had a thing of bubbles and all these cool wands in it. Kyler's had a baseball and a bat, a puzzle, a truck and one of those place mats. Keaton's had a ball, blocks and this inflatable ring toss toy.

After we got the loot.. ;) we headed next door and got them each their huge and delicious gingerbread men/girl! And as if that wasn't enough! We walked over to the carousel for another unreal short line and they got to ride that! It was so cute!
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2iydwc-EG7VS_vBprCkgtN893qhiFD5q-tA_tKEEr568wXOYOlcVlepVrfORgS2v7hbE0W2uO3yZYvPTewqfCC4dAbIIo1b35Jl_-dXz5WVMA7vr4OyB8jzhESdNI4xLcFmvIKdXFU_Y/s200/magfor4.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5678094222838170994" /> <img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9QrTPF_TJt_TVSDgl-tuKdAdNWTJj4Zh-8q33rWxd4vwp9brjPnM958FQZBgDsnMciqeiQg2aWdV63DxI4MSxldL8mXbPHcd5bjIuMrOhIt2UkFCBI2B0KzBNognOVi8H5FALWLFehjc/s200/carousel.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5678094222517659138" /> <img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEje_HdnOE8TP9b0Y7ceQHK9HswuwEr-AMqe6IdR-er0cVlvB-bsIszA5OODjOA1KwmcWG2zN6exj9M-D2sa9w_0q23lM7VSRPa8hTC2TCctE5zuPHDOiwH9X0fxDi-2wTtD3iMb7iwbScU/s200/magfor1.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5678094228103217250" />

It was such a fun night! Our friend was getting married!

Sister Shelley Haws to be exact. Shelley was one of the missionaries who taught Jason the first discussions over four years ago. She has always been such a great friend to us. She has stayed with us a few times and even flew down to come to our sealing. We just love her. She is the sweetest person!

We were so lucky to have our good friends Jessica and Skyler so graciously let us stay with them for the weekend! WE HAD A BLAST!

We dropped the kids off at my mom's house around 10 Friday morning and we were on the road. My parents are THE BEST!!!!!! They watched all three kids and let us take their car so it would be cheaper on fuel! (My truck has a V-8 Hemi and Jason's is a diesel! YA No thanks!)

Anyway after about 5 or 6 hours we finally rolled into Queen Creek,Arizona! Skyler was grilling burgers and giving Jason a tour of his garage. Needless to say! The burgers were burnt! So we all piled in Jessica's truck and headed a couple towns over to Five Guy's Burgers! Jason and I felt like teenagers again! We sang and danced around in the truck and it was a serious comedy hour there and back!

It was Jessica's birthday the day before, so after dinner we headed to their house and then over to her friend's house for a yummy birthday cake! Her friend was so cute and equally hilarious to Jessica!
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-uUMOl94t-K_bp7zBU8pfvxkc2wh23X1nqe1_d27-K9QZ3XvsyBEh7rHMpdENrDe5CL8X4Fe6TMOlU-DO4Rnp15aEgVgYzDAV9rzH8HZ3Bruz03DCLeiVtUbfO-6vALumkUKnJaPcUjQ/s200/jess.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5678082743549144034" />

The next morning Jason and I got up and got ready to head to the Mesa Temple. That temple is AMAZING! If you're ever in Mesa and you're and endowed member, I highly recommend you go do a session. The sealing was so beautiful! And the sealer was hilarious! And he knew Shelley's family so it was so nice to hear all the beautiful personal touches he put in.
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 129px; height: 97px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfJLydNEr-ZPNBpA8Nt4kKRDlLpNVAg7eaC9E_oQTKynq_FEQuUiCa7nvSwmNhQwLm-tK-6SctPtdemLoA2_oGd6-SIRAl2hjOUV_uPbMCzzHv3UtpfGurz60Uv0hYfLzF8BPUstjfjrY/s200/mesa+temple.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5678083193992830194" />

We didn't eat breakfast and still had a couple hours until the luncheon we were invited to. So we did a little driving around. We found a mall and a bunch of restaurants. We decided to share a breakfast at Mimi's. OMG I love that place we shared and omelet and crepes and of course their famous honey bran muffins! DELISH!

We decided we better do some walking if we were supposed to be at lunch soon. So we went over to they mall to look for a gift for the kids. We went right into Macy's and found Kyler an awesome T-Rex shirt and Kelsi a princess shirt and a dress for Christmas! All on the clearance rack! Plus when I got up to the register the cashier scanned a 15% off card! Sweet! I can handle 12 bucks! HAHA! We walked around Macy's for about an hour, and looked at all the beautiful home stuff! And since Jason and I both love to cook, we drooled over all the KitchenAide attachments!

We finally headed down the street to the Olive Garden for the luncheon. It was really strange to walk into a family party where you don't know anyone. Shelley's brother in law invited us to sit at his table. He started talking to us rather quickly and assumed we were apart of the groom's family. It was fun listening to Jason tell his conversion story and how special Shelley is to us. And boy did Jason find a life long friend. These two talked the entire luncheon! :)

After lunch (which we obviously had LOTS of leftovers) we headed back to Skyler and Jessica's. They had taken Kenzie to 2 of their malls. I guess Arizona is known for having a ton of them. We watched the last Harry Potter and Jason got a nap! Then it was time to get back on the road and head to the reception.
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFlcYmFejhcVT6krd6wvdhG491XXIg-AoaOpwvQxh2BUYiHtXbhOrUvSH_-7Nd8nMhSzAwXyI4sDfYLL2q0med_pNSJTSnsAXkk9nha7SPP8OtRii65RvwscH8DJ-DkfFfcZKjgjBuuGA/s200/sleeper.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5678084485682069042" />

It was so cute. I guess their first date was at Cafe Rio, so that's what they served! YUM! I was pretty tired and we had planned to meet up with my sis and the rest of the gang to go to Cold Stone. And I almost had Jason out the door when he ran into Shelley's brother in law again. OMG Literally another hour of them gabbing and exchanging phone numbers, we finally left. -Honestly that it something I really admire about Jason. He makes friends so easily, and is so likable! I don't know why, but as I get older, I feel awkwardly shy....I digress. Oh and these adorable girls were some of the little flower girls..they were so cute and followed Jason and I around the chapel when we were walking around. They were adorable and insisted on showing me where the bathrooms was! Made me miss my babies!
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPeBpLB9upFw9DrePG6h8BFasGkwqb44c_YapLuP4OEVRNmn5aqDySNSde0Vm3FxMqs7b_9roMxBZonktmlAkY1VbyStOiBeDYIegX7ATY94dqshjVMMoxd5AOxzxp-5IjsCc5Ivn85jk/s200/wed2.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5678083494656584962" /> <img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLM5k5EYZ5DoJInnvbHOllwCVgJf124Sy1sTARZ5JcI6EjRl9sA3sp-O6Pw3-hzx3waDM-GpSj4bFx-FnCPqDALdTAdD8zScol-JxXHv7ZL9Ycd2-Wwm8JvEumtBlRkVKHY7WwZ6gRFN8/s200/wed1.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5678083491823095090" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPlSTA3xrT6zoyIIGJeAQDn9xF3AQl6HfvefIUuwnD0mR5cbaeUU6JXKW-AxlzYPMnwkxUlGA4uT9FryKVDDVgpmhFFVm3N9lOtl5sOu8TK5geifiRGAstn0PtuqfhHIFZKfCsSxpmkcw/s200/flowergirls.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5678083989377829906" /> <img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiH0y1gep2MUBbqtbiI850gH-iNloioKo22Zd-XSH0FndTwBgbZ0Np_3suCy2qcRGTUB5azUWD6uBwfQwpTqjVX0avfammZnJD1B4p31QzRNww7jtZ4RMr0wyg9JQt2PYfL1Ti-0WTuk9A/s200/cake.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5678083499124209890" />
So we got back to the house and piled up in in the truck again. Especially this last one. Sacrament feels like the longest of the 3 hours. I try my hardest to bring snacks, crayons, coloring sheets, small toys and books. I usually have to get up at least twice to take out a crying kid, or someone needing a potty break. Back to Sunday, we had made through the actual sacrament and two of the three talks. The high councilmen (our old bishop) was up speaking, when the couple's toddler in front of us, crawled under our bench. I just instinctively picked her up and sat her with my kids. Her parents didn't even really to have her come back to them, so I just figured I would let her play with our toys and crayons. She sat with us for a while. The next thing I know Keaton is making his way down our row, then up the isle, then up on the stand. Like that wasn't mortifying enough, Kyler AND Kelsi chased after him!!! I was so embarrassed!! I made Jason go get him and he took him out in the hall. I quickly passed the little girl back to her parents.

After Sacrament was finally over with we just sat on the bench exhausted from the hour. Already feeling like a loser mom, I was really nervous when I saw a brother from our ward coming our way. He sat behind us and told us how grateful he was that our kids ran up on the stand. He said it made him so happy because all his kids were grown and it brought back a stream of good memories. He then went on to tell us not to feel bad or stress because we're going to miss those moments.

That really hit home because I have been having that exact thought a lot lately! Every time I get mad, every time they make a mess, every time they embarrass me at the store or in a restaurant , at the end of the day I know they are growing up so fast! I just love my little monkeys SO MUCH! I know there will come a day where I will look back and wish that my problems were that minimal.

This Sunday was also Keaton's first Sunday in Nursery. We've been counting this day down for a while now. I'm in the primary presidency and Jason is in the EQ presidency. So there ate a lot of Sundays where we are both conducting or teaching, So we were constantly having to juggle this constant nonstop ball of energy! From what I heard, he did ok. I'm glad his big brother is in there with him- until January that is. They said during singing time Keaton sat on Kyler lap the whole time. So precious! I was so happy to hear that because we told Kyler he needed to protect his brother.

Jason had an unexpected meeting after church so we had to wait an extra 20 minutes in the car! Proved my point that we need to drive separate! Jason still disagrees! HA! On the ride home from church I was telling Jason about how the nursery leader said Keaton had a rough time and it will take a little time for him to get used to going. (Um ya I know how it works..this is kid number 3! HAHA!) And Jason confessed that he had gone in to check on him and that's when he started to cry! So sad! And funny at the same time! Jason totally missed his little buddy! Still! Bad bad Jason!

After church we ate a quick lunch and I headed out to go visiting teaching. I love going! I love the ladies I visit and my companion! It's really hard to keep our visits short because we've really become friends and I look forward to our adult conversations. Even if they always lead to child birth and our kids diets! HAHA!

After I got home I totally got a wild hair and went in my kids room, in de-junk mode! The had a ridiculous amount if toys! Many that go untouched and just get in the way. We've been telling the kids that they most likely will not be getting any toys for Christmas because they don't even play with the ones they have. Ya mean mom! I'm sure they'll still get a couple. Anyway, 3 huge, very full trash bags filled with toys now sit in the back of my Durango! And out of their room! AHHHH...total sigh of relief! I still have a ton of organizing to do but I will be very happy to drop off those toys to the DI, just in time for Christmas. We are so blessed and I am happy to help this in need by donating our unused toys! :)Elise Carrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11975250752053906721noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3382321237526949985.post-35750898037124831872011-10-31T21:25:00.000-07:002011-11-16T10:59:19.434-08:00Happy Halloween!Before I even get to Halloween let me tell of what happend the weekend prior.

So Friday night we ate dinner, showered the kids, PJ's were on, teeth brushed and the older kids were in bed. Jason and I were sitting on separate couches watching TV, and Keaton was on my lap just hanging out. All of a sudden I am COVERED in throw up! Jason jumped up in a panic and grabbed a towel. Keaton threw up two more times after that. I knew then and there we were in for a very long night! I peeled my clothes off and the baby's and we immediately got in the shower. Jason went outside and was hosing off the couch cushions, pillows, towels and our clothes. Just as I predicted the baby and I were up every hour at least twice throwing up all the way until 6:30 am. I was sure glad it was Saturday and I didn't have to do the preschool getting ready rush!

The rest of the day he was back to pretty much his normal self. Even eating lunch. So that night we decided to go to the trunk or treat at our church. Jason and the rest of the EQ presidency were in charge so he came home from work, showered and got dressed and was out the door. My parents went to the temple that night so my sister MacKenzie came over and came with me to the church. I was so glad she was there to help out with the kids since Jason was busy with the party. They served pot luck chili and cornbread. Ya, I despise pot lucks! Haha! I know I'm a brat but it really freaks me out. Plus its weird for me to look around and see so many strangers that show up for the food and candy! Anyway, the kids wouldn't eat anything and were growing impatient that they had to sit around for so long. So we took the kids outside to play some games. A little while later people started coming outside to start the trunk or treat. Kelsi cracked me up by telling me her favorite part was getting to tell the kids that we ran out of candy! Haha! And Kyler got an extra handful from a brother in my ward because he was apparently the first one to say Thank You!

After we went home I had to make everyone food! Then I put the kids to bed. I was on the couch folding laundry and catching up on my DVR, when I hear Kyler crying. I stayed put for a minute to let him kind of cry it out until I heard the horrible sound of him throwing up! Boy did I run fast!! He had gotten in Kelsi's bed and was throwing up in her bed. I first grabbed her and put her in his bed. Lucky girl had missed being puked on by a mere inch or two! I cleaned him up and stripped the bed and brought him out to the living room. He threw up again and it woke up Keaton. They were both crying at that point, and I hear Kelsi come in and tell me she just threw up. So I woke up Jason and he took the baby. Kelsi and Kyler kept me up ALL night long.

About 6 am, Jason woke up and he took over taking care of the kids so I could try to sleep. He let me sleep for about 2 hours before he came in and said he was now throwing up and needed me to come in and help him with the kids! He slept most of the day and got sick a bunch of times. Around 5 i couldnt take it any more and had to sleep! The baby and I got a 3 hour nap. I got up and made everyone dinner, that no one really ate, and then it was bedtime for the kids! Longest 2 days ever!

So the next day was Halloween and everyone was back to normal. We just hung out during the day and tried to clean the house and put everything back together. Its amazing how your house gets destroyed when everyone is home and sick! Anyway, that night we went to my Aunt and Uncle's house and had dinner and took the kids trick or treating! It was really fun!
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 134px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxEJFt1EXMI87sEs1YliS1gATzUGETEbCX6OiyPTpoqHJrSKLpi7bEiymrmUsGd01UXKbjzNtbRlfyiCgQbDuc1472mh0r6veSB48MN0tmiO1fo-crlNo1IK4p7lVed32qIvT5U_7swXM/s200/halloween13.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5675667238334280210" /> <img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 134px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6TSN0vsZiNTv5YlLD5cjbMctJcFH6abYRs0Q3bt-qLgUfEMNDNp_hVfp6dTwCEbbxzA1XfLi9j0fSOQWM_oGoFnMbsRHEGPfGgC9adFLDF3LZuyfAVvi0JeDhDRyOLgKKHd3Q0c_xS2A/s200/halloween3.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5675667235392239426" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha_3IHv0xWOHYY8haZn9Dg1xOBLzj1SEDFSdA21BSNa1m506t1j9QBscreL6_FR7WQg_1TIF9HKWdwCNVhUfTMV46a-ikE_CfggPgmkD52FLnYldEm7jLYHkO2XCpWkCkTSxA43u82LDY/s200/halloween+jm.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5675668522150921442" /><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 134px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVRC4t8Ra_AUJxM3a-1-OhqHT1XGquwlNUdFeZUb9w0_D7nMquhDKqxMR7juRU6oxxpGgxV30VvSpT1Lnb6iL-MYafOoHuUA6KkU0DoaFQFOg11n4m5zrPZo8S8680a5-vGJtZqISwet8/s200/halloween6.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5675667232266424034" />Elise Carrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11975250752053906721noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3382321237526949985.post-31974520960454189872011-10-27T12:58:00.000-07:002011-10-27T13:07:01.415-07:00Happy Birthday Hubby!HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!!!!!
You’re 40!! Today is the day-I've been dreading for weeks! I don't know why, but this birthday makes me feel old-er! I think it's the fact that now being 27, it's closer to 30 than 20! Scary! :)

Anyway, so you know those people who always have or talk about a Birthday Week? Ya I've always thought those people were dumb! But this past week, yup, I was one! Ha! About a month ago I decided that Jason and I deserved a trip. ALONE!! So I planned a surprise trip. I called my mom and she quickly agreed to watch all 3 kids for two nights! I then called and got us a hotel room then ordered us two tickets to Tuachan in St. George!

So we were driving around town a couple weeks ago and Jason says,"So, I have a surprise for you." all I could do was laugh as he started telling me about how he wants to take me to Disneyland and he needed me to get the hotel room. So then I had to tell him I had a surprise too! I was all for giving our tickets away, but Jason was so excited about going to Tuachan since he'd never been. I felt really good about planning something he could be excited about.

So we dropped off the kids and I was so happy because there was minimal crying!! Our house was SO quiet! We couldn't get used to it! The next day we got up to pack and Jason had to run some errands. But it was nice to be able clean the house without any interruptions! We were finally ready to leave. We stopped and ate some tacos because we didn't eat breakfast (amazing you forget to eat when your kids aren't around!) And because it was going to be about 5 hours until our dinner reservations.

We made it up to St. George under 2 hours! There was really lite traffic. It was so nice! We checked in and Jason took a nap! Then we Skyped with the kids and got ready for dinner.
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmlYTxIv_DXDVptnQM9aozREZcDOvUhSjTmj7Fz7LqDtI8AH8SKNwngC2EeDhCI3zJv-0pX4xvdbCKTToY7V3hvxjs8Iv0YjfHBE48nqQcMv-SVl9q0yMMVW0rRCxYzQS_qtHudLneE3k/s200/stgtrip1.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666176527967717922" /> <img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 133px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisM2OpEV-R_-Rf_zQy6L5p8Vmr0q6-WGnoCKt6Rb43qkl4vvxpKsptrG_8LO9fDLMG0HuMQEB4PqQj0iNLSx2myyeawa0DnjOwDUSYwGdMZbE0HprI3ANGaU70r6_MzSqP1Zt94i29T04/s200/stgtrip10.PNG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666176894185150914" />

My parents gave Jason a gift certificate to a place in St. George called Anasazi Steakhouse. It's kind of like The Melting Pot. We ordered a cheese fondue to start. It was delicious! Then we shared a steak that you cut yourself and cook up on this stone they bring out that's over 700 degrees and it came with this amazing avocado salad! Then we had a little time before the play so we shared the chocolate Carmel fondue! O M GOSH! SO GOOD!! I always hear about people and their "food coma's", now I understand! HAHA!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg10krYnAnm4lhPF6tAnqtS6LCNASzV-G1XjvOB_fZ-3uj5AWB5HF3xgq0YtjYDOdc4ulb3d4FG2wQlveJjBywqNsBGsuSUzjoEjmTnpkfFE7rwKhJcuX6iFbm_oiTHmnsUUbwjy2FPWc0/s200/stgtrip5.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666177336690764306" /> <img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKuv1obBTY_SG-cPi4EFdS5Rgj22dI5rgT795C36aF_qQuzllgkQacnzmI6R1Jmwg7mPCoWFgYW1kQlw2IwlychkGflKHi1dMSCR_OejgbWIYlzgpq3YVipodv2-3nelpReq8FNAcBViQ/s200/stgtrip4.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666177331194943106" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzQwyfW7i6SBV5vkK0-n60ys8VD5ImL7r6rNovjPwX9YlAIpZTxBpDb55h-vKuF7mveIdRUORjEYcltZ_O_bHxwz5-MQBBgl6L_ccc8cbWylNm2_RxfFo1zeSTVRsIfaGhjbqvZmeR7X8/s200/stgtrip3.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666177328642281138" /> <img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgi0XJApQNpCHymhgvWsJPoCLW45TTfv9nNMY8Hbuo2zkR3UTCgjx84rdd3hRwQUcHeYpu04aFGwlSAVej2LwtU77CaSdKYZ95BGxKQ52HxkGYFRSAAV_P4S5IJKQIZ4QA4HXQlKRjsH2o/s200/stgtrip2.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666177328999357154" />

We made it just in time to valet and then for the play. We saw The Little Mermaid. I was a little worried Jason would think it was dorky, being a Disney thing for little kids. But oh man! It was SO GOOD! You are seriously mesmerized the whole time at all the special effects and details that have gone into the beautiful production! They ask you to not take pics, so this is why I have none. After the play we headed to the grocery store for some waters and somebody needed gas-x! Cough cough! **the hubby**

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgas0Ah3QZZ0nnUwnxGRyPLEPFNN4wVUUNQQa8ac4z0kpNOydEpeD_Pmpo3QCEoq8qd7goKt9nSI8_HqRWYL2ftBZIGVy7iueAybXcgS284XOOHWiJj7vPTFG1KGftj0UiD3oWCZVXWMu0/s200/stgtrip6.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666177693705401218" />

The next morning we went downstairs for breakfast at our hotel. Gotta love Utah's continental breakfast! :) We decided to do some site seeing. We went to the Brigham Young Summer home and the Tabernacle. SO BEAUTIFUL! I love hearing more about our church's history and how Latter Day Saint's have been an influence on our country. It was really neat to see Jason learn more too. After that we shopped around for a bit to bring the kids home a treat and then we ate at The Pizza Factory for lunch. Their pizza/salad bar is THE BOMB!

We drove straight to my parent's house to pick up the very excited to see us kids! My parents are THE BEST! They had dinner ready for us and had all the kids' clothes washed! I love them so much! Also my sister Kenz and brother Jarred! They were a big help as well! We especially enjoyed getting little videos of the kids from Kenzie occasionally. We did watch them over and over! Ya, seeing a kid play makes you miss your kids!

All in all, it was a great little get away! And much needed adult time!

Back to today. My day started off normal. Get up, get everyone fed and dressed. Until I ran to take a quick shower, to walk in to my sloshy carpet! One of the kids forgot to put the handle up in my bathroom and it flooded! UGH!!!!!! Such a pain! 2nd time this has happened! So I cleaned up as fast and as best as I could, and jumped in the shower. I got ready in seriously 20 minutes and then took Kelsi to school. Kyler decided that we should make cupcakes for my birthday. So we were mixing everything together and he was putting the papers in the pan when we heard a knock at the door! It was my mom! She and my dad made me a bday cake!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQzrrYJ-kJyTJLny74GhtAxLW7tgj_HdmN1pFelDRGl1xTMs9nsjTpeN387HM8mCOSzZCHUzs-O_zf6OtjyXyyLqVqWeLOm56pybSCgwF9bIZsP3M_LSIIgl_YtE96FldR8ulVOA354hY/s200/stgtrip7.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666178383955979346" /> <img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 133px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbsOAyL0lbTgB-yRmn4MZUWJAiiiMuIj3t2IolZDjiOD_n9s8cvKwelZu4hob9F9A9yOdCnGGH7EFO-TUVgHHMZjNxdmoCA7Ut-G0Kp5HifygMDid1ritE6qVsmB5AWuwKahVUU0uPD4w/s200/stgtrip11.PNG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5666178385595430514" />

She dropped it off before heading to the temple! So we took the cupcakes to my friend who happens to have the same bday as me, and is also Kelsi and Kyler's preschool teacher!

Later that day my mom took us to lunch and we went to the park and let the kids run around! My VT's stopped by and gave me a card and a little gift. Then Jason got home and took us to Cafe Rio! Now everyone is asleep and I'm thinking of joining them since its become a sad tradition on Saturdays that everyone has forgotten how to sleep in! HAHA!

Oh well! Happy Birthday to me! And thank you for all the phone calls, texts and messages on Facebook! Its been a great day/week!

***My Skype pic cracks me up..we were on my iphone and the kids were on my dad's ipad2. They were making us all nauseous because they wouldn't stop shaking it!

***The pic of us at Tuacahn also makes me laugh becuase there was an old lady sitting behind Jason. He's well over 6 ft tall so the one time he leaned over to kiss my head and snuggle up during the show, she tapped him and rudely told him she couldn't see!! We just kind of looked at her and laughed like teenagers! HAHA!

***My cake, before and after a day of sitting on the counter in reach of Kyler! HAHA!! LOVE that boy!

***And one last brag about why I love my parents, not only do they take such great care of my kids, but also Jason and me! My mom picked out a beautiful comforter set that I LOVE for my bday! Its so so so comfy! And not too girly! So Jason is happy!Elise Carrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11975250752053906721noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3382321237526949985.post-39774153191432681802011-10-03T09:26:00.000-07:002011-10-03T10:00:25.081-07:00Kyler Got A Haircut!!!A few days ago Kyler came up to me when I was going to the bathroom! He was holding scissors and asking me what they were for. I told him to go put them back right now! I went to look for him and he of course cut a big ol chunk from the front of his hair! I was so mad at him but more myself for not taking them from him! So he got a very long time out in his room. After his time out I tried to see if the damage was anywhere repairable. I combed it and put a little hairspray in it and didn't really think it was that big of a deal. In fact, I had even forgot to mention it to Jason.

So the next day was Saturday and my parents asked me to drive my sister to the airport. They were all in Salt Lake for General Conference. She had a football game she had to cheer at that morning. So I asked my grandma if she could watch the kids because I escorted Kenz to her gate. Anyway, my grandma tried to fix Kyler's hair and Jason came to her house after work and decided that his hair just needed to go. So after I was done at the airport I stopped to pick up a pizza. I got a text of this picture:
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 134px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIU-OKZSxjFoIjAOa9ICGfPZqjYTJUk9LC9Yb6K_InJgT8EJk97XxwbjDZULtETUYNcEZc5bp1bj1NmFBeU40VbfO_ptW8rWYtJea6xiTQGlqAe_3CZzha-HlQD5fjk8fNRbZHZKIT8OU/s200/kylercut2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5659309945373568754" />

It literally took my breath away. I think even a little swear word came out! I was seriously shocked. He looks like a totally different kid! Jason likes it and what really matters is Kyler loves it.
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3Sbmbl09mArdll40OJgftOkN_JMUJx7G20OHd5fM2BCoJTxQVr1E7O2CFRDO4YNZNJ2E5qQQxppK2Flv9WAlMcz8toHCJto7G-ZrJ4Zyzczm9bjc2iTAYWEXRm9llldZzvxRTRamsbwA/s200/kylercut.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5659310148651584082" />

He's constantly rubbing his new hair and he thinks it looks pretty cool! I on the other hand I am having a rough time with it. I don't like it at all. He looks so big! But he looks cute either way! And I am just hoping it grows back by the time we take Christmas pictures!

Other than that, like I said, it was General Conference weekend. My favorite time of the year! You get to watch church in your pj's! The best! It was a really relaxed day and we even got a couple projects done! I'm glad my family got to go up to conference, and am jealous that we couldn't be there! And I can not believe it is OCTOBER! Seriously! Where does the time go? This is always a crazy month for me! My birthday, Jason's birthday,and my sister's birthday! So exciting! Can't wait for the celebrating to begin! And I can't forget Halloween! I love it! The kids already have their costumes! And between preschool, Jason's work party, my parents, Jason's family and church parties, I feel like we really get our money's worth! Can't wait!Elise Carrhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11975250752053906721noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3382321237526949985.post-11833562334650254222011-09-29T12:04:00.001-07:002011-09-29T17:41:39.277-07:00Holy Update!Where does the time go? Seriously! Well lets see..September 3 my dad turned the big 5-0! We planned a surprise party for him, but he more or less found out and also had planned to be working that night. So we opted for a family party instead. Our friends Jess and Skyler were in town for the weekend since it was Labor Day. We adore them! So do my kids! They are the sweetest and hilarious! They are always a huge help whenever they're in town. We made Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches for dinner. They were so so yummy! My dad's brother Paul and his wife Kris and their kids all came over too! Also my grandma and grandpa Roberts were there as well! Me, Jarred, Jordan, Kenzie, Syler and Jessica all went in on a Disneyland gift card for my dad! That place is like his favorite! It was a fun night!

The next day we had planned on going to Mt. Charleston for a picnic, but we decided to just hang out at home instead. We just watched some movies and relaxed.

The next week the kids started preschool! So exciting! Kelsi goes to a class that is more of a Kindergarten Prep. And Kyler is in more of an introduction to the environment of a classroom. They both love it! Kelsi goes 3 times a week and Kyler the other 2 days.
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5gZj7I0Hk5-jADfGJooa5jFOoPKC_07BhCUeWBkp76Yxs2IcubvaCJIUq9GxZZnSl0GaZT9fvqSrw8O51-fvrbfvD-zI_4ctw3vJQd2fd6iV4STImiRd830sd8mVL56q1wXOfXVE6Idg/s200/9photo.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5657867524945548050" /> <img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWUHrcdydWsenKeLxE5bwX9p8gHHfD54jcN9n3Qiqxic6mhEyXNvV-VUzQ0dBcnruaGzlL9YPINzPh_8m4z4ZuN5upMtxHZbAGC0YDjtfcmhWlSHfWX3zn5tPyNcyqz7ZH4iuBEngEl0Y/s200/11photo.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5657867878650618450" /> <img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfWLLqmRLaWZUiwXFsSt7p7jO6w_U4QfuDANsembeG0on2DRllGyQgMLIyuDFFqjxltOoVXT2WibC8Ly33a8QpU2U7UCSYEH9ffWFQs22MnC9jb1iACD6_kmbV9fCDYbtaHlGhJ3kYpVE/s200/15photo.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5657867872400549250" />

So we are up early everyday about 7-7:30. UGH. I.AM.NOT.A.MORNING.PERSON. BOO to that! But I have found that my days are much more productive! Anyway, my dad got Kyler that adorable Car's backpack! He's in love as you can see...he never takes it off! So funny!

We were woken up on Kyler's first day of school to a very loud thunderstorm! It was amazing and raining so hard! Keaton loves being outside and this is his favorite spot to be in!
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 133px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxVbPl_FM4IMOqAaKp79uVotXwdqjVgFrka2uvgVBcKuuWW_CIC9Kz4r5v8_nZc1wrMTpqxgDr3sqN58GP_6HHNXM0haJSXqddQXIDoqAl_VsqJ5Hn1HkTbskovFHk4wJnnMhSJAqH-_I/s200/8photo.PNG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5657868785687661154" />

A few nights ago, Jason and I were watching SURVIVOR! Woot Woot! :) Anyway, Kelsi and Kyler were in our room playing/watching a movie. Kyler comes running out doing that gasping for air very hysterical cry! FREAKED ME OUT! I looked over and he was holding his eye, and wiping blood everywhere! I jumped up and immediatly tried to stop the bleeding. Long story short, Kelsi was fishing and Kyler was the fish duh! He was in the ocean (the floor) and she was on her boat (our bed)! And she cast out her line (Jason's belt), and caught her fish (Kyler's eye)! Jason helped me clean it and he put a butterfly bandage on it. We called a friend in our old ward who is a RN. She came over and said that the bandage looked really great and she didn't think it was going to need stitches! I had to keep reminding Jason that this will not be the first injury and to not be so hard on Kelsi. Plus I walked in on the cutest dialogue.

Kelsi: I'm really really sorry for making you blead Kyler.
Kyler: (giving her a hug) Its ok Kelsi, it was an accident. I forgive you.
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCmbiWeTxILzM19MFI3wvP5XwUeNIvpI64k_1JzfkMAsD4i-F9U0-8FHXQDbk02Pfydsvo6dZiAFmVJyXtJYves3UsVlCxZ6yiFmNKibEXPUTiEF6Ic87YFGUA2JM0wr54UM28LzaM4rs/s200/2photo.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5657870506387905778" /> <img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRdjvpXOj8zgf8tQm7619ZPdoWqAF3clWz3lFAh1ydEbnKmfRGCZhtSW02B8a0xIvnZIeHG5tx1oks0IDmBSRe3bVa35uMuzvfS6Y4jDAeoHi-uGfplZUgX1W52tN1CXpMN7R0xeKUKqw/s200/4photo.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5657870507596158018" />

Melt my heart! I can only hope they are this forgiving when they are older.

Yesterday I went to Costco, and since both Costco's near me are about 10-15 miles away, I usually choose to go to the one closest to my mom. She and Jarred met me there for lunch and helped me pick up the things I needed. We then went back to her house and stayed for the day and even for dinner. Jason was doing a side job right after work, so we got home about the same time that evening. I love my family so much. I'm so thankful how close we are. I don't know what I would do without my mom. She is so good to me!

She decided that she needed to keep Kelsi that night so she took her with her to get her nails done. Super cute! I'm so grateful for her and my dad! And I loved it! I really couldn't put it down! It was so good! Very emotional and yet lots of funny parts! The book got made into a movie! So my mom organized a girls night. The movie was so good! I had a blast! And even luckier for me, Jason's work hosted another family movie night. So the kids got to go watch Rio and eat as much pizza, nachos and popcorn as they liked! During the movie I texted Jason to check on my babies. He said that they were very good, he even took them to get frozen yogurt! Love you babe!

No, I'm not pregnant! But let me just tell you! There has been some MAJOR(to us) changes in The Carr Household! YAY!

First and formost; WE FINISHED THE TILE IN OUR KITCHEN AND HALLWAY!!! Let me tell you people! This has been 5 years in the making! Jason promised me it would be done before Kelsi was born. 3 kids later + 2 full time jobs = 1 unfinished house! I can not tell you how much of a difference it makes in our little house! It really looks beautiful! And everything is starting to come together!
Next comes painting, and baseboards! And tonight we made a stop a Lowe's and picked up the vinyl flooring we need to finish Jason's bathroom!!!! YAY!! And Jason even let me pick out the new refrigerator and stove/oven I want! We didn't buy those yet, but I have a feeling we will be back very soon after I do a few price comparisons!! Can't wait!!

Second, KYLER IS POTTY TRAINED! Fully! It is AMAZING! I told you last week HE decided on his birthday that he was done with diapers. And we are so proud of him for sticking with it! An accident here and there, but he has not wet the bed once! And funny story..since I'm the one who trained him, I just take his pants off and plop him on the toilet! NO MESS NO HASSEL RIGHT? HAHA! Saturday I went to work a wedding for my dad, so Jason had the kids all night. Sunday morning, I was getting everyone ready for church and I told Kyler to go potty before we left. I walked in on him peeing standing up, SHOCK 1! Then when he was done he pulled off a TINY peice of toilet paper and wiped off the seat! SHOCK 2! Haha! He said Daddy showed him! So awesome! And so nice only having 1 kid in diapers!

Third, Keaton is no longer on the boob! I'm trying to be excited about this one. Don't get me wrong. Its nice that he is sleeping solid, and its nice to not have to nurse him to go to sleep. But can I just say....I AM IN SOME SERIOUS PAIN!! :( I've read tons of parenting websites, and so far I haven't come accross anything helpful.. So I'm currently on day 7 of engorgement! And this sucks! Its hard to snuggle my babies or even bend over! But its just one of those things that I have to remember, won't last forever! Lord I hope so!

I'm thankful things are coming together. Its so nice getting things done that you have been stressing over or putting too much precious energy into! Jason's truck is in the shop, so we're all waking up early to drop him off at work and spend the day with Kenzie by the pool! Oh the Vegas Life! :) Night!
